About SDV Sector

SDV Sector reports on the software-defined vehicle sector worldwide: the platforms, architectures, updates, diagnostics, security and regulations that are turning vehicles into software products. Every story is written from the source document — a regulator's docket, a standards body's record, a company filing or newsroom — and links it. Where no primary document is reachable, the story says so and names the outlet it came from. Nothing here is a feed of other people's headlines.

Every item also carries a one-line "Why it matters", written here rather than borrowed, saying what the news changes for the people building this software. When we get something wrong we correct it on the article itself, dated and visible, and leave the record of what changed — most of the archive now carries at least one such note.

We publish daily, Monday to Friday, with global coverage across the USA, China, Europe and Japan/Korea. Every Monday the week just past is collected in the briefing archive, and once a month The SDV Sector Brief goes out by email. The SDV Wiki keeps the sector's standards and regulations explained in plain language, dated and maintained.

Ownership and publisher

SDV Sector is published by Diadrom Systems AB, organisation number 556603-4426, Första Långgatan 17, 413 27 Gothenburg, Sweden — a vehicle-software company within the publicly listed Diadrom Holding group. The editor is Viktor Eliasson, who approves every article before it is published.

SDV Sector operates as a stand-alone publication. Because our publisher is itself active in the vehicle-software sector, our editorial policy commits us to a strict neutrality rule: companies with commercial or ownership relationships to our publisher — including Diadrom itself — are covered under exactly the same news criteria as every other company, and articles that mention our publisher or its group companies carry a disclosure note.
