IAA Transportation is the commercial-vehicle counterpart to IAA Mobility, and it has become the venue where truck, bus and off-highway makers set out their electronics and software direction. The segment centralized its E/E architecture later than passenger cars, so the platform announcements here tend to be first-generation rather than incremental — which makes the show a clearer read on where commercial-vehicle software is going than the equivalent passenger-car event.
