Yinwang tied Huawei's driving stack to CATL's swap network across car, station and cloud
Huawei's carved-out smart-car unit signed a strategic agreement with CATL and Shidai Dianfu to interconnect the Qiankun assisted-driving stack with CATL's battery swap network at vehicle, station and cloud level.
Yinwang Intelligent Technology, the smart-car unit Huawei carved out of its automotive business, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CATL and Shidai Dianfu at a ceremony in Ningde, Fujian on October 19. Huawei’s announcement named the instrument as an intelligent replenishment ecosystem strategic cooperation agreement and said the three would deepen cooperation on swap batteries and swap networks and build a swap ecosystem with partners.
The software substance sits in a single sentence of the release. Through what it describes as deep coordination and underlying ecosystem interconnection between Huawei’s Qiankun assisted driving and CATL’s Chocolate swap network, the parties said they would connect the data and service ecosystems of the vehicle, the station and the cloud at system level, with prediction and active scheduling based on real-time battery state and user travel characteristics.
The claimed result is a closed loop in which a vehicle determines its own need to replenish, finds a station, enters the bay, aligns automatically, completes a 99-second fully automatic swap and drives away, which the release frames as an experience built for the era of automated driving. The loop and the timing are the companies’ own description and were not independently verified.
CATL chairman and chief executive Robin Zeng attended, with Huawei senior vice-president and Yinwang chief executive Jin Yuzhi and CATL marketing co-president Yang Jun.
The release gave no value, term or duration. CATL is listed in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and no announcement of the agreement appeared in either exchange’s record over October 19 and 20, so it was not treated as a disclosable transaction. Yinwang is not listed.
