KPIT signed a Vietnamese partner to cover five Southeast Asian markets

KPIT Technologies and Vietsol, a Vietnamese engineering and mobility solutions company, said on August 20 that they had signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on mobility software and engineering services across Southeast Asia.

The two companies said the collaboration spans Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, with scope to support selected global programs. Under the agreement they intend to engage customers jointly, pursue market opportunities together, deliver engineering programs for vehicle manufacturers, and jointly promote solutions, engineering services and software accelerators.

KPIT described the arrangement as combining its vehicle software work with regional engineering capacity, and said it builds on the technology center it opened in Hanoi and on partnerships with Vietnamese universities.

Neither company disclosed a contract value, a headcount, named customers or program commitments, and the agreement is a memorandum of understanding rather than a binding contract. Vietsol is not widely documented outside its own materials, and its size and client base could not be established independently.
