Chrysler filed a second rearview-camera radio recall covering trucks in the first
Two software recalls filed on the same day cover 441,107 vehicles, and the 2026 Ram 1500 appears in the vehicle list of both the new camera campaign and an August one.
Chrysler filed two recalls with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on September 1 covering 441,107 vehicles between them, both caused by radio software, and both entered the public record when the agency opened the vehicle identification numbers to search on September 9.
Campaign 26V560000 covers 239,131 Ram 1500 pickups from the 2025 and 2026 model years whose rearview camera image may fail to display, a failure of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111. The agency’s record states that the radio software will be updated over the air or by a dealer.
Campaign 26V559000 covers 201,976 Jeep vehicles whose tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low pressure, fail to illuminate the warning light, or both, a failure of standard 138. That remedy is dealer-only, with technicians updating the radio frequency hub software.
The camera campaign is the second of its kind in under three weeks. On August 13 Chrysler filed campaign 26V531000, covering 844,027 vehicles in the agency’s count, for a rearview camera image that could fail to display, also remedied by radio software delivered remotely or at a dealer.
The 2026 Ram 1500 appears in the vehicle list of both camera campaigns. Neither agency record states why the model year is covered twice.
