Bosch will move Mobility and its digital unit into separate legal companies
Robert Bosch GmbH said it would transfer its Mobility business sector and three central service units, among them Bosch Digital, into wholly owned subsidiaries, moving about 62,500 German employees from August 2027.

Robert Bosch GmbH set out a reorganization of its corporate structure on October 22, moving four units out of the parent company and into wholly owned German subsidiaries.
The units leaving Robert Bosch GmbH are the Mobility business sector and three central service organizations: Bosch Digital, Global Business Services and Global Real Estate. Bosch said about 62,500 associates in Germany would transfer with their employment contracts, most of them from Mobility. The new legal entities are scheduled to begin operations on August 1, 2027, and the company said the change would be implemented in stages by the end of 2027.
What stays in Robert Bosch GmbH is the corporate headquarters together with the central research and advance engineering team, which Bosch put at more than 3,000 associates in total.
Mobility is the group’s largest business, at 55.8 billion euros of sales in 2025 against group sales of about 91 billion euros. Bosch said the new structure would create opportunities for strategic partnerships and for developing new business models. Christian Fischer, chairman of the board of management, said that “new competitors, particularly from Asia, are intensifying the competitive pressure.” Markus Heyn, deputy chairman, chairs the Mobility business sector.
Bosch is not listed on an exchange, so no filing accompanies the announcement, and the release stated no transaction and no terms.
