Wayve will integrate NVIDIA's Halos OS on Hyperion in Stellantis L4-ready platforms
The three companies announced a France-based collaboration at a government forum in Paris, putting Wayve's driving software on NVIDIA's safety operating system and compute architecture inside Stellantis vehicle platforms.
Wayve, NVIDIA and Stellantis announced a collaboration on October 23 at the Assises du véhicule autonome in Paris, the French government’s autonomous-vehicle forum, aimed at deploying autonomous vehicles in France and developing the technology across the European Union.
The division of the stack was stated plainly. The initiative combines Stellantis’ L4-Ready Platforms, together with the carmaker’s vehicle engineering and manufacturing, with the Wayve AI Driver, which the companies said will integrate NVIDIA Halos OS on the NVIDIA Hyperion compute and sensor architecture. Wayve said the combination positions France as the base for an ecosystem spanning the full autonomous-vehicle value chain, from silicon to vehicles.
The companies said engagement with unions, city authorities and mobility stakeholders will be led by the local partners responsible for transport operations rather than by the three companies. Wayve, which describes itself as a London-based developer of embodied artificial intelligence for driving, cited the 109 billion euros of artificial-intelligence investment announced in France at the 2025 Paris AI Action Summit.
Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said France was committed to adapting its regulatory framework to accelerate autonomous-vehicle development “while maintaining strict safety and data sovereignty requirements.” The French transport ministry listed the collaboration among the announcements made at the forum, where it also said it would establish an autonomous-vehicle type-approval doctrine in the first half of 2027.
Neither release gave a vehicle count, a production date or any commercial terms. Stellantis’ most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission was dated October 15 and NVIDIA filed nothing in the period; Wayve is privately held in the United Kingdom, so no compelled disclosure exists on its side.
