Autel wired ALLDATA's OEM repair information into MaxiSYS fault codes
From a fault code on the scan tool, a technician can now open the manufacturer's own code description, detection criteria and diagnostic procedure for that vehicle on the same screen, with the integration live since November 1.
Autel U.S. said on November 2 that it had connected its MaxiSYS diagnostic software to ALLDATA Repair, the manufacturer repair-information service owned by AutoZone, letting a technician move from a vehicle fault code to the corresponding factory diagnostic information. The integration became available on November 1. The release said existing ALLDATA Repair subscribers reach it with their current accounts; Autel U.S.’s own page on the integration adds that an active Autel software subscription is also required.
From a fault code displayed in MaxiSYS, a user can open the ALLDATA information for the selected vehicle and read the manufacturer’s code description, detection criteria, possible causes and diagnostic procedures. A split-screen view keeps the diagnostic results visible alongside it, and links lead on to related testing, removal and installation procedures, illustrations and service precautions. Autel said carrying the vehicle and fault-code context across reduces the need to search separately for the same vehicle and code. The integration also reaches ALLDATA Diagnostic Intelligence, which the company described as combining manufacturer repair information, real-world repair intelligence and AI-assisted insights in one workflow.
Supported hardware is the MaxiSYS Ultra S2, MS919 S2 and MS909 S2, and the MaxiSYS Ultra, MS919, MS909, Ultra ADAS and Ultra EV. ALLDATA Repair was described as covering more than 44,000 engine-specific vehicles, which the release put at approximately 95 percent of vehicles on the road, and ALLDATA as a company as reaching more than 400,000 technicians and more than 115,000 repair shops worldwide.
Chloe Hung, chief executive of Autel U.S., said finding a fault code is only the beginning, and that the next step is knowing how to test the system, identify the cause and perform the repair. Autel U.S. issued no press release on its own site, and ALLDATA’s website did not carry the announcement when checked. Neither the release nor Autel’s page gives pricing for the integration or a schedule for extending it to other tools.
