Smart Eye promoted its chief engineer to CTO and created a CIO role
The Gothenburg company moved the technology chief who had held the post since 2009 into a newly created information role and reorganized its senior team around two new positions.
Smart Eye announced a set of management changes on September 8. Martin Rydberg, who has been at the company since 2000, shortly after it was founded in 1999, and chief technology officer since 2009, moves to a newly created role as chief information officer. John Finér, who joined in 2010 and has led engineering since 2018 with a year away as technology chief at Klimator, becomes chief technology officer.
The company also created an operations role. Anders Gryte, previously responsible for the automotive business as a vice president, becomes chief operating officer with responsibility for the business units. Cecilia Mosesson joins as head of human resources from Volvo Trucks.
The rest of the senior team is unchanged: Martin Krantz remains chief executive, Mats Benjaminsson chief financial officer, Henrik Lind chief research officer, and Peter Hartzbech chief executive of the subsidiary iMotions.
Smart Eye supplies driver monitoring systems to carmakers and sells research software through iMotions. It is listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Stockholm and published the announcement through the Swedish disclosure service MFN and in the investor section of its own site.
